What happens to MSD for my existing boxes

T's & C's say that this is not eligible for MSD. I currently have an S1 and S2. I want to retire(gift) the S1. Does that mean if I transfer my S1 lifetime to the HD box then I would pay full price for my S2 service? Any one know the answer?

Also considering a S3. As a current Tivo owner, would I get the rebate? I called CS and couldn't make heads or tails out of their answer. The rep kept reading his script and could answer my question clearly.

Clarifications on the two issues would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: What happens to MSD for my existing boxes

I'm not sure what the MSD statement means. But the unit will have lifetime and that should qualify other units on the account for MSD. I think it is somewhat pointless clarification that since you're buying a bundle and transferring service there is no discount on that box.

And yes, you can use the rebate on the S3 as long as you activate it with new service.
